I often hear people saying that they wish they can tell the future. I then look at them and think that I guess it would be cool to be able to do this, but I also think there are ways that it wouldn’t be that great. I believe that you need to learn from your mistakes, and that’s what life is all about. If you don’t experience the consequences from an action, you really won’t ever know what if feels like to suffer with a bad choice. I’m also not even sure that people would do anything much different with their life, even if they knew what was going to happen. Say someone who smokes cigarettes is told that they will get cancer in ten years. Would this make them quit? I doubt it. With most choices in life, you know what the possible consequences are. It’s just up to you to decide if those risks are worth taking. I truly don’t believe that knowing the future would help many people make better choices.

I recently caught an episode of Long Island Medium on TLC, and I must say it was an interesting experience. The show features a woman, who claims she can talk to the dead. Not only does she do this as a career, but it appears that she somehow incorporates this into her life all the time. The part that i remember the most on the show is when she and her daughter went grocery shopping, and she “knew” that a random woman in the store recently loss a family member. She assured her that her loss loved one was looking after her, and she could very well still see her. The mediums daughter was embarrassed, but not surprised at all the her mom was talking to a random person about her loss loved one. Apparently she stops people all the time to do the same thing, and many have a hard time believing her.  Although it does seem a little far fetched, her accusations were true. That woman did indeed recently lose a family member, which made me realize that maybe mediums really do have the ability to talk to the dead.

In a world of so many people, not one is perfect. There’s most likely at least one aspect of each person that they would want to change about themselves. Maybe you’re having a hard time finding your true love, or you can’t seem to climb the career ladder as fast as you would like. If you want to change any part of your life for the better, you have two choices.  You can either find out the hard way what you’re doing wrong by keep on doing the same things, or you can get help from a psychic.For example you might not realize that you’re in a bad relationship, but a psychic might predict that you will eventually abused if you stay in that relationship.

Last month we steered you to a Cornell University study on psychic phenomena in our discussion regarding where to find an online psychic. There is a great deal of scientific research that can be found online, showing beyond a reasonable doubt that psychic powers are real. These abilities come from the core of the human psyche and certain individuals are able to manifest them in ways that the rest of us only dream about. Is it possible that anyone can harness this third eye with some practice? Perhaps.

A statistical study was performed at UC Davis entitled,  AN ASSESSMENT OF THE EVIDENCE FOR P SYCHIC FUNCTIONING. In this study, Professor Utts examined data over a two-decade period to determine whether there is a scientific basis for psychic abilities. As part of this study she assessed the significance such abilities might have for the government. This second part of the study is not as important to us as the first, as we are not the government.

The professor, an expert in statistics and the analysis of data, determined that indeed, “psychic functioning has been well established.” In her abstract she states that the results are statistically significant, and the odds that these findings are due to chance are incredibly slim. Simply put, the tests for psychic abilities had results that were replicated over and over again in such a way as to virtually eliminate the possibility that these findings were fraudulent.

One phenomena covered by the study was precognition – the concept that an answer is not known to anyone involved in the experiment until sometime in the future. Granted, this may be due to brain waves, or it may be due to one’s ability to detect change. She hypothesizes that perhaps the 6^th sense allows one to scan the future for significant changes, and she compares it to our ability to scan the environment with our eyes or ears for changes in scene or sound. I recently watched several episodes of The Booth At The End in which the main character gives people the chance to get what they want by performing certain tasks. He looks in a book of notes and determines the actions they must take to get to the desired result. This could be due to psychic abilities, or it could be due to an unimaginable ability to put actions together as a sequence of events that yield a highly predictable result. Perhaps psychic abilities are exactly that – the ability to put various events together much like a puzzle, and then to figure out the missing piece.

There are skeptics out there who believe that psychic readings are a farce. However, there are many people who believe in them.
