I recently caught an episode of Long Island Medium on TLC, and I must say it was an interesting experience. The show features a woman, who claims she can talk to the dead. Not only does she do this as a career, but it appears that she somehow incorporates this into her life all the time. The part that i remember the most on the show is when she and her daughter went grocery shopping, and she “knew” that a random woman in the store recently loss a family member. She assured her that her loss loved one was looking after her, and she could very well still see her. The mediums daughter was embarrassed, but not surprised at all the her mom was talking to a random person about her loss loved one. Apparently she stops people all the time to do the same thing, and many have a hard time believing her.  Although it does seem a little far fetched, her accusations were true. That woman did indeed recently lose a family member, which made me realize that maybe mediums really do have the ability to talk to the dead.
